The Assembly approved today with 75 votes in favor the draft law "On the Fiscal Peace Agreement", as well as a number of other draft laws.
The deputies initially approved the amendments presented by SP deputy Taulant Balla.
Also rejected in the session were the amendments submitted by DP MP Enno Bozdo, according to which the draft law opens a real "highway" for money laundering.
The MPs also rejected the amendments presented by the SP MP, Erion Braçe, within the framework of fiscal peace.
Braçe said that "the law addresses tax evasion, as it allows those who have deceived the state with financial statements and balance sheets to benefit from fiscal peace."
"The proposals deepen this character by separating the draft law with the possibility of money laundering. Each of these proposals does the draft law good in this regard," added Braçe.
Meanwhile, DP MP Jorida Tabaku stated that the law is unconstitutional as it opens a path for money laundering and undermines competition.
The amendments, according to Tabaku, aim to limit the damage that this law could cause. "Three days ago, the EC declared that the law has serious problems. This law grants special favors. I call on the president not to decree this law. If this does not happen either, the DP will take it to the Constitutional Court," she added.
The session also rejected amendments submitted by MPs Erlad Kapri and Agron Shehaj. Shehaj proposed the exclusion of entities under investigation or convicted in the field of organized crime and drug trafficking, as well as companies of individuals under investigation for criminal activities.
The amendment also aimed to exclude strategic investors and MPs from Fiscal Peace.
In today's plenary session, the draft law "On some changes and additions to the law "On tax procedures in the Republic of Albania", as amended, was approved with 81 votes in favor.
The deputies rejected the amendment presented by the SP deputy, Erion Braçe, where the chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, declared that the amendment will be taken up for further consideration with the Ministry of Finance.
Also, with 80 votes in favor, the draft law “On some amendments to the law 'On value added tax in the Republic of Albania' was approved. Within the framework of this law, several amendments were submitted by deputies Erion Braçe, Jorida Tabaku and Enno Bozdo, which were rejected.
With 84 votes in favor, the deputies approved the draft law "On some changes and additions to the law "On income tax". The deputies rejected the amendments submitted by the DP deputy Jorida Tabaku, the SP deputy Erion Braçe, and the DP deputy, Greta Bardeli.
While the draft law "On some additions to the law 'On the local tax system'" was approved with 81 votes in favor.
Deputies approved with 84 votes in favor two amendments submitted by SP MP Arbjan Mazniku that aim to exempt public investments from infrastructure taxes.
The deputies also approved with 81 votes in favor the draft law "On some changes to the law 'On the invoice and the circulation monitoring system'", as amended.
The Assembly approved with 76 votes in favor the draft law "On the revaluation of immovable property".
Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, explained that the law recognizes the depreciation of housing based on age and as a result, the 5% rate is for those buildings that were built in 2025, while for other housing, the depreciation rate will also apply.
Meanwhile, the amendments proposed by SP MP Erion Braçe, as well as DP MP Enno Bozdo, were rejected.
Deputies approved with 73 votes in favor the draft law "On the cancellation, extinguishment and payment of tax liabilities to the central tax administration and of duties payable to customs".
