The reconstruction of roads in the Fushë Krujë area has remained a mere electoral promise for years. This is according to the residents of Urë e Gjolës, who rose up in protest against the construction of the axis connecting them to the Fushë Krujë-Vorë highway.
Although the road is full of potholes and puddles along its entire length, no serious investments have ever been made on it. As a result, residents say the road has become impassable.
The passage of ambulances or firefighters on this road is impossible, say the residents, adding that if they do not receive a concrete response from the Municipality of Kruja regarding the construction of the road, they will block the Fushë Krujë-Vorë highway.
Residents say they were among the most affected by the expropriations for the construction of the Thumanë-Kashar highway, at a time when they were also promised the construction of the Gjola Bridge road. A promise that fell behind over time.
