Model and actress Annabel Schofield has died at the age of 62, after a battle with brain cancer.
She was recently hospitalized in Los Angeles and passed away on February 28, according to The Hollywood Reporter. After her diagnosis, Schofield had kept her followers informed of her condition through a GoFundMe account, with her last post on January 18 revealing that she had undergone emergency surgery to remove the tumor.
Born on September 4, 1963 in Llanelli, Wales, she was the daughter of British producer John D. Schofield, involved in popular films such as Jerry Maguire and As Good as It Gets. She later moved to London, where she began her career as a model, appearing on the covers of prestigious magazines such as Vogue Germany and Vogue Italia.
During her career, she collaborated with major fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent and Versace, as well as with well-known cosmetic brands. In the late 80s, she became known for an advertisement for Bugle Boy Jeans.
After moving to the US, she devoted herself to acting, appearing in the 11th season of the series Dallas, where she starred opposite Larry Hagman. She also participated in films such as Eye of the Widow and worked behind the camera on projects such as The Brothers Grimm, Doom and City of Ember.
In later years, she founded her own production company, Bella Bene Productions, and in 2013 published the novel "The Cherry Alignment", inspired by her experience in the fashion and film industries during the 80s.
