The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, commemorated January 21st today, honoring the memory of four citizens who lost their lives in the heart of the capital 15 years ago.
"January 21 was one of the darkest days that bled Tirana, the home of all Albanians. The wound of the families' pain still remains open. The blood of the innocent cries out louder than ever for justice. I will not forget you!", Veliaj wrote in a public post.
His statement was made on the 15th anniversary of the event, a day that marks one of the most tragic chapters in our country's history.
