US President Donald Trump was present at the return of six American troops killed since the launch of the attacks on Iran, as their coffins were transported by a military plane.
Speaking earlier this afternoon, Trump said it is a "very sad situation."
"They are great heroes in our country and we will keep them as such," he added.
The six soldiers, pictured below, were killed when a drone struck a port in Kuwait on Sunday.
They are identified as:
-Major Jeffrey O'Brien, 45 years old
-First Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42 years old
-Captain Cody A. Khork, 35 years old
-First Class Nicole M. Amor, 39 years old
-Chief Arrest Warrant Officer Robert Marzan, 54 years old
-Specialist Declan J. Coady, 20 years old
