Since February 2023, Veziko Bejko from the village of Tërbac in Vlorë has lost contact with her family. Her husband said at the time that the woman, after drinking her afternoon coffee, left the house to collect firewood and from that moment on she never returned. Despite the fact that the search was extended for months and then for years, in the entire area, together with the fire brigade and the police, no trace of her was found. The family members at the time stated that the possibility that she had committed suicide could not be ruled out. According to them, there had never been any conflicts in the family of four.
On October 1, specialists from the Himara Police Station referred materials to the Prosecutor's Office for evaluation, after a shepherd in the village of Tërbaç, on October 1, 2025, found several bone remains, including a suspected human skull. The remains were sent to the Institute of Scientific Police for examination.
The son of the deceased, in a communication with the show "With an Open Heart", in News24 of moderator and author Evis Ahmeti said that after this announcement, the search began for the remaining part of the body, which they managed to find, along with some personal belongings. He states that he is convinced that the body belongs to his mother.
On the other hand, Fatmir Muho, a character who claims to be accused by his family of murdering his wife and wants to make his concerns public, has arrived at the studio. He claimed that the accusations are in retaliation for him denouncing them as a family, while accusing them of murdering the head of the family's mother.
"Her son called me and said; where are you? Urgent, Veziko is missing. He told me that they called me and informed me and added; I was expecting something like this. Everyone was alarmed. We started searching. When we went to a hill, we found an axe. The police came, searching with a drone. I told the police to seize the axe. We found a discarded pack of cigarettes. One of the police officers said to me; who is he? Many years ago I reported him for the murder of their mother, Veziko's mother-in-law. The mother of this man's husband was killed. I reported him, because she had been at my mother's for a few days and said; they are going to kill me, they broke my ribs, and they killed her. Even the death certificate, Veziko was the accused. She did not have mental health problems, but she had that part of epilepsy. She was indirectly accused along with her husband. The death certificate and The causes of death regarding the mother were filled in by a nurse, who didn't want them to go to the doctor. The whole scenario of how they brought her dead from Dhërmi is horrific.
The State Police came out in front of me. Policeman Artan Bedini came and called me; Oh Fatmir, come and let's go visit the family there for a while. He went out to their house and looked around. He told me; we're going to the reservoir. I looked at the lake and at that moment the police officer filmed me. But then the local policeman came and told me, thank goodness you were in the municipality because you would have rotted in prison. If it hadn't turned out that these people had no hand in the execution of their mother, I would have gone to prison. Even 2 days before the body was found, her husband came and said; how is it possible that the body was found near my house. For me, it's pure murder and not suicide. I have other evidence, I will give it to the prosecutor's office and if they want to cover it up. Don't let them play the role, because they accused me. They also went to the police and said my name," he said.
Meanwhile, the victim's son, in a phone call, claimed that Fatmir would suffer if he continued to make such accusations. "What does Fatmir want there? The man was found and that's it. What does Mr. Fatmir want from you? Make no mistake, because Mr. Fatmir will deal very badly with us, the family. What right does Mr. Fatmir have and what problem do you have with this?! He did the same to our grandmother. He raised our grandmother from the grave because they said she was killed. But she died by God's grace," said the young man.
