Analyst Fatos Lubonja has commented on the strong statements and denunciations made by former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who is on the run and today gave an exclusive interview for the show "Minuta e Parë" on News24 with journalist Ola Bruko.

In a conversation with journalist Bruko, Lubonja described the recent developments as a "power struggle", raising questions about Agas's arrest and the lack, according to him, of a public stance by SHISH.

"I think it's a power struggle now. Agasi was arrested. I don't know if he arrested him or not. Has there been any response from SHISH? Nothing! It came from foreigners," Lubonja said.

The analyst also commented on Ahmetaj's statements on crime and money laundering, emphasizing that, according to him, the problem is not only the existence of these phenomena, but the way they develop in Albania.

Lubonja said that political and social pressure has increased, while also referring to the protests and facts made public by Ahmetaj. "I think that the protests have certainly given a lot of pressure. And these facts that Ahmetaj said. Where did these facts come from for him? Because I think they are true. We know this, these are the evidence. We know that he bargains," said the analyst.

Lubonja then used harsh tones towards Prime Minister Edi Rama, arguing that recent developments have also damaged his image abroad. In conclusion, the analyst assessed as positive the fact that these issues are being made public, saying: "My opinion is that these things should come out very well."

"I think that now it is a power struggle. Agasi was arrested. I don't know if he arrested him or not. Has any wiretapping come out from SHISH? Nothing! It came out from foreigners. He says; we will enter the EU. He says; let's sacrifice someone, because we got the ink. There is crime everywhere, money laundering everywhere. Yes, money laundering everywhere, but not with the permission of the prime minister. This can only happen in Albania. I think that in any case, great pressure has been given and protests. And these facts that Ahmetaj said. Where did these facts come from? Because I think they are true. We know this, these are the proofs. We know that he bargains. This great oppression, that the guts of this system have come out, puts in difficulties even those who are the most shameless, such as this one. (Rama). That he has no shame at all. His credibility has also decreased with the international community. My opinion is that these things should come out very soon.", he said Lubonja.
