Today is the 77th protest against Edi Rama's government, with citizens demanding the resignation of the prime minister and his government. Like yesterday evening, the next protest will start at 19:30 PM, and a significant participation from the Albanian diaspora is expected.

Yesterday, Albanians from different countries around the world joined the protest, filling the “Martyrs of the Nation” boulevard. For the protesters, the demand for the government's removal and opposition to the political class have been continuing for weeks, despite the high temperatures and the summer season.

Yesterday's march started from the Train Station, continued towards Skanderbeg Square and then stopped in front of the Prime Minister's Office. During the protest, calls were made against the government, while the main demand of the protesters was unanimous: the resignation of Edi Rama.

Today's protest is expected to follow the same route, starting from the Train Station and marching towards the center of Tirana.

The protests took another turn after a serious incident recorded during a protest in Zvërnec, where a resident opposing construction in a protected area was dragged by a private security employee near the area where a luxury resort is planned to be built.

The event became a turning point for the protesters, who have been continuing their nightly rallies on the boulevard for about two and a half months.

In parallel with the protests in Tirana, rallies have also been held in the diaspora, in various cities where Albanians live. Meanwhile, several cities in the country have also been involved in protests against the Territorial Reform, with residents opposing the merger of their municipalities.

Today, the 77th protest is expected to bring citizens back to the streets of the capital, with the same demand articulated for weeks: the removal of Edi Rama and his government.
