The illegal construction discovered by police on Thursday in Saranda is suspected of being the cause of criminal incidents in the city. Police sources indicate that the property was in the name of Isuf Jaçaj, who was killed with TNT in his car in October 2025.
There are suspicions that a criminal group based in Kamëz carried out the TNT explosion, but that they are also the perpetrators of other events in the city of Saranda.
Recently, a beach bar was being built on the property forcibly taken by this group, which was to be put into operation for the summer season. It is suspected that a bribe was taken from the chief of the Saranda police station and three of his subordinates, who were detained by the Police Supervision Agency, for the permission to use this property.
