The story being discussed today in the studio of the show "With an Open Heart" by moderator and author, Evis Ahmeti, is related to the denunciation of a grandmother, who seeks justice for her grandchildren. She accuses her son's daughter-in-law of abandoning her two minor children.
According to the grandmother's account, the bride left for Germany, taking the children with her, to seek refuge with her family. She then returned to Albania, leaving the children behind, and since that day, she has no longer held any responsibility for them. "I have the children today, I raise them. She says that when they grow up, they will return to her," the indignant grandmother says.
Meanwhile, the children's father is in Elbasan prison. He has also filed a complaint from the detention center, but no action has been taken to date. The grandmother says that the relationship between the couple has been conflictive, culminating in the daughter-in-law filing a complaint for violence and obtaining a protection order. However, she says that the family has stood by her and forgiven her for her actions. Meanwhile, while recounting the incident, the mother-in-law has also legitimized her son's violence against her daughter-in-law, adding that when there is an argument, the husband gives her 1-2 slaps.
"They had no conflicts. They lived in Germany. They had no problems. The son is in prison, because in Albania when a couple fights, they will give them two slaps. Very well, the daughter-in-law reported him and he went to prison. He was sentenced to 1 and a half years in prison. We all had arguments with each other, but the family is maintained. My son had rented a bar, he worked there. The daughter-in-law went and followed him. He kicked the door of the bar, and that's where the fight happened and the whole thing happened. He kept the bar for coffee and nothing else. What doubts would she have?! I discussed it with the daughter-in-law, I supported her. Even though you did this to my son, I told her I would keep him close. I didn't want the children to grow up without a mother and father. I spoke to the daughter-in-law like my own children. I have the children here at home.
After 1 month, the daughter-in-law withdrew the complaint. Then she would go and meet her in detention. She worked late hours, leaving the children alone. They told me; oh mother, we are alone. Mom is at work. I also called the owners of the daughter-in-law's job and told them why are you keeping her working late? I sent them money, because I was left without money. She came to Germany because the son told me; take the daughter-in-law there, don't leave her in Albania. I took them to stay here in my house. When the son came out, they should look at their own lives, how to arrange it themselves. The son's daughter-in-law came to Germany, and they sent her back because she was deported. I took the children. And she told me; I will stay here and work, keep the children there. She would call me and then make threats; she would ruin your life. The son would pick her up from prison, they had a disagreement. Last night she spoke to the children. She took them and spoke to them," said the mother-in-law.
