The story that was covered today on the show 'With an Open Heart' on News24 by moderator and author, Evis Ahmeti, is about a 50-year-old man who recounts how he and his cohabitant come from previous failed marriages. They have been living together for about eight years and from this relationship have given birth to a daughter who is now 1 year old.
The main problem in the couple's relationship is related to the fact that the cohabiting woman's legal husband does not appear at the divorce hearings. This constant absence has created serious difficulties, not only in completing the divorce process, but also in obtaining the baby bonus for the daughter the couple has together.
For this very reason, the man has decided to publicly denounce the cohabitant's husband, calling on him to appear in court and not hold hostage a family history that must end. According to him, this situation is harming not only the couple, but also the children, who are facing the consequences of a process that has dragged on for years. From previous marriages, the woman is the mother of two daughters, while the man has a son and a daughter. The woman's new cohabitant said that her ex-partner, with whom she has 2 daughters, speaks badly to the children about their mother.
"I have no contact with the children from my first marriage, but I'm sorry. My ex-wife got married. I met the lady I'm married to now through a letter. My wife hasn't divorced yet, because the gentleman who was married wasn't present at the court hearing. The gentleman has no education at all, he can't play or read. Her daughters go to school. I've taken her to the girls 6 times. She brought them something to cheer them up. I took her two years ago. They speak badly of her mother. The little girl was about 1 and a half years old. The older girl was 4 years old. Now we're left with an unregistered daughter, because she's in the legal husband's household. I don't know where to turn," he said.
