A serious and shocking event occurred a few days ago in Ulcinj, Montenegro, where 36-year-old Dila Ndoj, originally from Balldreni, Lezha, tragically lost her life.

According to preliminary information, her partner, 46-year-old Bashkim Gashi from Kosovo, is suspected of killing her and then setting fire to the apartment where they lived in the Kodra area.

The suspected perpetrator was arrested by Montenegrin authorities shortly after the incident.

The news has shocked family members, relatives and residents of the area where the victim originated. Dila's family has traveled to Montenegro to follow legal procedures and retrieve the young woman's body.

While investigations continue to fully uncover the circumstances of this serious incident, the victim's family members will give their testimony today exclusively in the studio of the show "With an Open Heart", by author and moderator Evis Ahmeti, recounting details from Dila's life, her relationship with her partner and the doubts they have about what happened in the fatal hours.

"3-4 days ago he had problems and had beaten her. The girl informed me. I spoke casually and it didn't go well. I begged him to go there, but he told me not to come because he would solve it himself. And when I spoke at dinner, it seemed to me that things were settled, he spoke well to me. I had her as a sister, not as a sister-in-law. From the problems he had with the family, I had a lot of support from her and she had me. They were a family with a lot of problems. She was closer to us, as a girl she was a very tall girl. We didn't understand any reason, nothing, for that night. The police took me the next day. The local policeman told me to look at the photo, is she your husband's sister. And I saw it, it was her. He tells me that Dile is dead. He told me the apartment burned down, she suffocated in the apartment, that's all he told me. Maybe she knew a lot of things, but she didn't tell us. The last day she was telling me if she could find me a job I'm going back to Albania. In two weeks we will get the legal expertise. He only expressed his dissatisfaction with them, and he didn't tell me many things. He said he drinks, but as they say about pregnancy and other things. We wanted to get married, but he said no. Maybe he understood his bad behavior. He told me that he wanted to get to know them better," she said.
