The constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly has resumed after the interruption, but without the presence of the deputies of the Democratic Party of Kosovo. The Speaker of the Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, has called on the deputies of the PDK to return to the hall and continue the parliamentary work. 84 of the 120 deputies of the Assembly are currently in the session.

The PDK's decision to abandon the session came after the failure of the vote for Vlora Çitaku for the post of Deputy Speaker of the Assembly. Following this development, the PDK declared that it would not participate in the proceedings of the Assembly and that it would send the matter for review to the Constitutional Court.

Vetëvendosje, on the other hand, has stated that it does not oppose the election of a PDK representative to the position of vice-president, but has rejected Çitaku's candidacy. The ruling party has asked PDK to propose another candidate.

Despite calls to return to the hall, PDK deputies have continued their boycott, calling into question the normal continuation of the Assembly's constitutive process.
