The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) has found 13 defendants guilty of participating in a terrorist organization and, for some of them, also of participating in hostilities in a foreign country. The decision was issued this Thursday, June 11, 2026, following the conclusion of the trial conducted under ordinary procedure.

According to the decision of the panel of judges Irena Gjoka, Elsa Ulliri and Bib Ndreca, Shyqyri Kaca and Saimir Kaca were each sentenced to 10 years in prison after the sentences for the criminal offenses "Participation in a terrorist organization" and "Participation in hostilities in a foreign country" were combined.

Meanwhile, Enes Kaca was sentenced to 5 years in prison as a juvenile, while Bajram Sulaj, Arbër Stafasani, Etion Zani and Erion Luto were sentenced to 9 years in prison each. The other defendants received sentences ranging from 4 to 8 years in prison. The court decided that the sentences should be served in high-security prisons and charged SPAK with the execution of the decision. This decision can be appealed to the Special Court of Appeal within 15 days of the notification of the reasoned decision.
