KOSOVO- None of the 27 political parties that will participate in the June 7 elections have yet submitted their lists of candidates for MPs.
This was stated by Valmir Elezi, spokesperson for the Central Election Commission.
"So far (Monday, May 11, 2026, 14:00 PM) none of the 27 political entities has submitted online the list of candidates for deputies to be certified for participation in the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo, which will be held on June 7, 2026," he stated.
In an interview with the media in Kosovo, he added that the period for political entities to notify the CEC about participation in the elections and the formation of coalitions has ended.
"The total number of potential political entities that will participate in the June 7 elections is 27, of which 22 political parties, 3 coalitions, 1 civic initiative and 1 independent candidate," Elezi emphasized.
After the certification process is completed, the CEC is expected to organize a lottery for their ranking on the early election ballot.
The political parties that have announced their participation in the elections (May 1 - 7) are:
Social Democratic Party;
Kosovan Nevi Romani Party;
Ashkali Social Democratic Party;
For Freedom, Justice and Survival;
Serbian List;
Yenilikçi Türk Hareket Party;
Democratic League of Kosovo;
The word;
Progressive Movement of Roma of Kosovo;
United Roma Party of Kosovo – PREBK;
Social Democratic Union;
The United Gorani Party;
Kosovo Democratic Türk Party;
New Democratic Party;
New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo;
Kosovo Alliance;
Ballist Party;
Civic Party for Social Welfare;
Egyptian Liberal Party;
Alliance for the Future of Kosovo;
Democratic Action Party; AND
Democratic Party of Kosovo.
The political parties that have announced the formation of a coalition (May 1 - 7) are:
Demokratska Stranka Bošnjaka and Demokratska Stranka Vatan (VAKAT Coalition);
Ashkali Party for Integration, Democratic Party of Ashkali of Kosovo and Movement for Cooperation (United Ashkali); and
The Vetëvendosje Movement, Guxo, Alternativa and the Albanian Democratic Christian Party (VETËVENDOSJE! Movement).
The civic initiatives that have applied for certification to participate in the elections are:
