Following the denunciation made on the investigative show "Tak Fak" by citizen Arben Ziu, who raised the alarm about an unauthorized building on top of a bunker in the center of Durrës that is destroying his apartment from humidity, journalists have gone to the field to demand accountability from the responsible institutions.

The journey to find justice has begun at the Durrës Police Department. Together with the complainant, “TakFak” has requested official information on the steps taken in this case. After a few minutes of waiting, the chief inspector of the area, Gëzim Bahja, has communicated on the phone, avoiding responsibility and stating that only the Inspectorate of Territory Protection (IMT) Durrës is competent for this matter.

The same position was also held by the Durrës Police spokesperson, Majlinda Zeneli. She stated that the police institution has completed its procedure, as the case has already been referred by the IMT to the Prosecutor's Office, and that further details should be addressed to the prosecution body.

Faced with this situation where institutions “pass the ball” to each other, “TakFak” moved to the IMT offices in Durrës. Although Chief Inspector Klajdi Lame was not in the office at the time, the journalists were welcomed by the institution’s lawyer. The latter admitted that she was not aware of Mr. Arben’s specific case, but undertook to urgently verify all relevant documentation.

The official and decisive reaction came a little later from the head of IMT Durrës, Klajdi Lame. Faced with the irrefutable facts of the show and the previous undisclosed order, Lame gave a firm public promise:

"Within two weeks, the IMT will go to the site and execute the decision to demolish the building's unauthorized stairs," said Chief Inspector Lame.

This decision is expected to restore legal distance to citizen Arben Ziu's apartment and allow the reconstruction of the bunker's dome, putting an end to the long-standing nightmare of moisture that was destroying his property.
