In the column 'Opinion' at News24 Invited security expert, Fatjon Softa, discussed the candidate that was sent to Prime Minister Rama for the position of Director General of the State Police.

Ilir Proda is the most favored candidate, while regarding this selection, Softa stated that he has led several districts, but recently a problematic district like that of Elbasan.

Softa further stated that in terms of approach, he had 3 names that he considered most favored, also emphasizing generational differences.

It is a relatively new generation name, just like the Minister who warned about this. Proda is a person who has led a problematic area, has communication and if not, will have the same fate as other directors.

I have had access to 3 people, Proda, Çipa and Hitaj, at least for the new generation.
