The expanded segment of the Tirana-Durres Highway up to the Rinas overpass has been fully opened to traffic, significantly easing traffic on one of the country's busiest roads.

The authorities indicate that in the coming phases, work will continue on the further expansion of the axis towards Durrës, as well as on several other important infrastructure projects, including the Blue Corridor, Kashar–Lekaj and Lekaj–Fier segments.

Meanwhile, in the coming weeks, the winner of the competition for the Milot-Balldren segment, part of the plans to modernize the road network in the north of the country, is expected to be announced.

On site, Prime Minister Edi Rama inspected the works, accompanied by the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Enea Karakaçi, where the progress of the projects and their completion deadlines were discussed.
