The Socialist majority has rejected the request of the Special Prosecution Office regarding the lifting of Belind Balluku's immunity. In his speech at the meeting of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Ulsi Manja stated that SPAK is conducting investigations without any obstacles and that the allegations of political interference have no legal basis.

According to him, the decision to change the security measure is the final competence of the plenary session of the Albanian Parliament, while he presented the SP report from the Mandates Council.

Ulsi Manja: SPAK is investigating freely and is not being hindered in exercising its powers regarding investigation and criminal prosecution, but the request for a measure, the final competence belongs to the session in the Assembly.
The allegations that the Assembly, while taking care to implement important principles of democracy, obstructs justice, have no legal basis but are political in nature.
The fact that we awaited the CC's decision proves our seriousness.
We took into consideration the Constitutional Court's decision that is already in force. SPAK has put the Assembly in motion and is requesting a security measure with arrest.
