Prime Minister Edi Rama has vowed that the "January 21" incident, where four protesters Aleks Nika, Ziver Veizi, Hekuran Deda and Faik Myrtaj lost their lives, will be solved. However, he has justified the delay in justice, stating that we should look at the "Train Station".
In his speech at the ceremony held at the Prime Minister's Office, Rama stated that this majority has never betrayed its commitment, recalling the implementation of the Justice Reform and the establishment of Special Structures, which he criticized for having forgotten the issue, when according to him, those responsible were questioned only a few months ago.
"Whoever asks us why justice was not done for January 21, should look at the train station and not at this building. From this building came the nucleus of justice reform, and in the building opposite that nucleus has blossomed, and in the Parliament building that seed of independent power has been blessed. To the extent that the new justice that will not have done justice for January 21, will be even older justice," said Rama.
Rama: On the one who wants justice for Aleks, Ziver, Hekurani and Dilaveri, I know that this cry for justice will never die down. The need for justice will triumph no matter what. I want to share my truth regarding our responsibility towards lives and our commitment to do justice for January 21. We have held that responsibility with great dignity and have not betrayed our solemn commitment in any way, while by making justice independent from political power, by establishing SPAK and special justice, we have created the conditions for the end of lawlessness, through the justice bodies and not through the party and the government. This is the fact and this is where the ball is rolling. Whoever asks us why justice was not done for January 21, should look at the train station and not this building.
