The fires in the Dibra Region have covered large forest areas, where in the Lura National Park and in the Helmës Pass area, in Fushë-Bulqizë-Selishtë, the flames are spreading rapidly.
Ground intervention was also made difficult by the terrain. After several hours of battling the flames, two aircraft were deployed to the scene.
The Ministry of Defense's announcement states that two "Air Tractor" aircraft have been engaged from the air to support firefighting operations.
The aerial intervention is being carried out in coordination with forces on the ground, who continue to work to isolate active fires and prevent the spread of flames.
Ground and air operations continue uninterrupted, with the aim of limiting the spread of the fire and bringing the fires under control.
