The operation in the village of Lundre resumed in the early hours of today, 02.09.2026.

The situation remains aggravated and there is currently a heavy presence of smoke, making it difficult for forces on the ground to intervene.

Today, the majority of forces are concentrated on the top of Mount Trodhen and in the Skanderbeg mountain range, near the farms, while the MZSH forces and municipal forces are concentrated in the area between Lundra and Madhesh, in order to prevent the fire from advancing towards residential areas, reports journalist Enver Doçi.

The risk to the homes, homes and property of residents in the area remains high, as the fire is located in mountainous terrain and may be favored by wind and terrain conditions. Forces on the ground are working to protect residential areas and create barriers in the directions where the fire is expected to advance.

Aerial intervention remains essential, especially in mountainous areas where ground intervention is difficult, in order to limit the spread and isolate fire sources.
