Journalist Klodiana Lala, invited to the show This Week on News 24, spoke about the fires that "invaded" the country during the summer.

Lala expressed her full solidarity with every hero who fought the flames. She added that the Albanian government lied when it said it would have a fleet of helicopters, while this never happened.

Klodiana Lala: Fires are a big problem because they burn national or citizen assets. I have expressed my solidarity with every police officer or ambulance worker who has faced the flames. What I want to shout is that the Albanian government has lied, because they were told that there would be helicopters, but in fact the police officers were only found with picks and shovels.

One thing that was promised in great detail was nowhere to be found. They always tell us that there are fires in Italy and Spain. It is true, but there is a fleet there, the police officers have infrastructure. Where are the helicopters that we were promised would be purchased? Was the money given and abused? This should be looked into by the competent authorities.
