PSG get their first win of the season in Ligue 1. After a negative start, with Luis Enrique's team collecting only 2 points in the first 3 weeks, they finally registered their first win in the championship. The reigning champions triumphed 1-0 away against Brest, in a match where goalkeeper Matvey Safonov was the main protagonist.

The Parisians took the lead in the fifth minute. After a pass from João Neves and a deflection from Ousmane Dembélés, Ferran Torres shot from distance, sending the ball into the corner of the goal.

PSG ended the first half in the lead, but after the break Brest increased the pressure. In the 50th minute, Kamory Doumbia came close to equalizing, but his shot was stopped by the post.

Two minutes later, PSG found the second goal, but it was disallowed for a foul on Warren Zaire-Emery. Brest continued to search for the goal, but Safonov was decisive, stopping several attempts by the home team, while on the other wing João Neves missed the opportunity to seal the match.

In the end, PSG held on and took the three points, recording their first win in the championship and moving up to five points after four weeks.
