Activist Aulon Kalaja announces that he has filed a recourse with the High Court regarding the complaint previously made to SPAK, for what he considers a violation of the law by the Council of Ministers.

According to Kala, the government approved the waiver of administrative fines just two days before the May 11 parliamentary elections, an action that, he said, directly influenced the electoral outcome. He points out that Albanian law prohibits undertaking such fiscal policies four months before and four months after the elections.

Kalaja adds that this episode is also mentioned in a paragraph of the OSCE/ODIHR report on the elections.

His complaint was filed in May, but was initially dismissed by SPAK. Kalaja appealed to the Special Court of First Instance Against Organized Crime and Corruption, which dismissed the request. The same decision was also given by the Court of Appeal Against Organized Crime and Corruption.

After these two levels, Kalaja has taken the case to the Supreme Court, expressing confidence that "justice will be done."

In his statement, Aulon Kalaja emphasized that he will not back down. "Without a doubt, I will see this issue through to the end," he said..
