The identity of the Albanian arrested by the Greek police in Athens has been revealed. The arrested man is Gerion Çeçja, who was wanted for more than 20 years for a murder committed in Tirana.
According to reports from Greek media, Chechnya was arrested yesterday in the Filothei area of Athens.
The 47-year-old is accused of murdering a fellow Albanian in Tirana in 2006, whom he is suspected of shooting.
After the arrest, Çeçja was sent to the competent Public Prosecutor's Office, where further legal procedures will be followed.
