A serious incident was recorded during the early hours of the morning on "Berit Beker" Street, where a 17-year-old was injured by gunfire in accidental circumstances.

According to official information, at around 01:40, the Police services were notified of the injury and immediately arrived at the scene, launching investigations to clarify the circumstances. From the first investigative actions it results that the incident took place in the apartment of citizen RS, 19 years old, who is suspected of having accidentally fired his pistol, thinking that there was no cartridge in the chamber, injuring his 17-year-old friend.

At the end of the investigative actions, the police have arrested 19-year-old RS in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of “Serious injury by negligence”, “Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition” and “Acts that hinder the discovery of the truth”. Two other citizens, AV, 20 years old and HH, 22 years old, suspected of “Acts that hinder the discovery of the truth”, have also been arrested. The injured 17-year-old is in hospital, under the care of doctors.

Two other citizens, their friends, were also arrested. The firearm that the 19-year-old was in possession of without a permit was seized.

At around 01:40, after the announcement that a 17-year-old had been injured with a gunshot wound on "Berit Beker" Street, the services of the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector immediately went to the scene, with the aim of clarifying the circumstances and fully documenting the case legally.

From the initial investigative actions, it results that in the apartment of citizen RS, 19 years old, the latter, while showing his pistol to his friend and thinking that there was no cartridge in the chamber, accidentally fired it and as a result the 17-year-old was injured.

At the conclusion of the first investigative actions:

-the arrest in flagrante delicto of the RS citizen, 19 years old, for the criminal offenses of "Serious injury by negligence", "Actions that impede the discovery of the truth" and "Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition";
-Citizens AV, 20 years old, and HH, 22 years old, were arrested for the criminal offense of "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth".

The 17-year-old is in hospital, under the care of doctors.

Investigations are ongoing to fully document the case and clarify all the circumstances of the incident.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
