KOSOVO- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, has spoken again about his candidacy for president of the country.
During a media statement, he said that he would withdraw his candidacy if political parties propose a non-partisan name for the position of head of state.
"The Prime Minister has set a certain framework. This president should not be directly from the political parties if it is decided consensually, so he should not be directly from the leaderships. For example, he should not be their deputy leader or someone very close, coming from the ranks, structures of the parties," Konjufca declared.
Konjufca also added that if there is a discussion about a party president, then this should be done through political agreement.
"So far, this option for a party president has not been open. So far, it has been open for a non-party president. If it is non-party, I resign from my candidacy. I resign because one of all is being found, who am I to block the way," he declared.
