At the meeting held in Unit 4, this Tuesday in Tirana, Ilir Alimehmeti stated that Albanians should take to the streets on January 24 and say enough to the corruption of this government.
Alimehmeti raised concerns about the situation in hospitals after the lack of electricity for several hours at the QSUT, denouncing that there had been no generator maintenance contract since October. This, he said, is alarming, and the Ministry of Health and the QSUT are fully responsible.
"The lack of lights is an unthinkable situation. The situation in the hospital is unacceptable. We saw videos, people panicking. This is the responsibility of the QSUT directorate, and of course the Ministry of Health. Since October, there has been no maintenance contract for generators. Everything that happened yesterday was alarming, can we accept that in 2026 we will say God willing there will be lights in the hospital. There was talk of modern hospitals, but here we are talking about lights, direct responsibilities that go beyond abuses of funds. These people had not put water on the fire. On January 24, we must be in the square, to say enough to this government," he said.
