Journalist Artan Hoxha has clarified his statement, in which he stated that the most dangerous person in Albania is the one whose name is not mentioned at all in the media.
Guest on the show "This Week" on News24, Hoxha said that his statement was not related to any specific individual, but to the way organized crime operates in Albania.
"2-3 people were telling me that I had it for such and such a person or for another. I have it in the framework of a model of how organized crime works in Albania," the journalist declared.
According to him, from years of experience in the dark chronicle, the most powerful figures in the underworld are usually those who are not publicly exposed.
"I think from my experience that the strongest boss of organized crime is always the one whose name has not been mentioned in the media," said Hoxha.
He added that the moment the names of criminal figures begin to circulate publicly, exposure also becomes a problem for their support network.
"Albanian gangsters used to want to appear in the media. Then they realized that exposure was also a problem for the politicians and police officers who protect them," the journalist said.
Finally, Hoxha emphasized that his statement should not be interpreted as a reference to a specific name in the criminal world.
