Two of the protesters have raised the issue of the “Mountain Package.” According to them, this is a project that aims to give properties to oligarchs and aims to rob Albanians.
"As we said at the beginning of the rally, this government and this system actively worked to remove Albanians and now they are coming with what is called the "Mountain Package" to return them from the lands they were expelled from. But this is a well-thought-out scheme because they seek to plunder the lands to give them to the oligarchs," he said.
Meanwhile, activist and member of the British Chamber of Commerce, Silvana Xhaferi Hoxha, stated that if the property had been registered, they would have had the opportunity to develop it, villages would not be depopulated, schools would not be demolished, because Albanians have been denied the right to property.
"For 52 days we have been demanding Rama's resignation and we are not tired because each other's troubles are the troubles we all have and it is the fault of the 35-year-old political class, so we say Rama in prison, Berisha in prison. Rama took the road to Theth, which he destroyed after inviting Albanians to invest.
The country has been depopulated with the intention of rendering the land worthless.
The lands have been divided by 7501 in an unfair way, so we condemn the political class. There are entire areas that have not been registered in the Mortgage, so the people are being punished.
If the property had been registered, they would have had the opportunity to develop it, the villages would not have been depopulated, the schools would not have been demolished, because Albanians have been denied the right to property.
"There is a possibility that the property issue can be regulated, according to the civil status system of the heirs. Then they decide for themselves if they want to develop it, in Kukës and Tropoja we cannot develop the property because they have no ownership rights," she said.
