Traders at the Macedonian market in Korça once again protested in front of the city hall, opposing the decision to install new uniform tents, a project that they say is financially unaffordable.
This is the second protest in a month for the merchants, who say they are constantly faced with contradictory orders and demands from the Municipality and the Municipal Police.
Traders say that decisions are constantly changing and demand transparency and clarification from the Municipality of Korça.
They even add that this institution has given them a ridiculous deadline of May 19 to set up new tents, a cost that must be paid by the traders themselves, worth up to 700 thousand lek.
Traders are demanding that the Municipality take over the investment for the new tents. On the other hand, they consider the situation as a constant pressure on small businesses and warn that many shops are at risk of closing due to economic difficulties.
