Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation, Chief Sejfulla Metko, has provided new details from the scene of the crime in Korça, where 20-year-old Johan Zuko was murdered. According to Metko, the conflict between the victim and the suspected perpetrator began around 14:00 PM, in a neighborhood near the scene of the murder.

"The conflict occurred at around 14:00 p.m. in a neighborhood near the scene of the incident. The incident occurred near the victim's apartment," Metko said. He said that about 15 minutes after the conflict, the suspected perpetrator left in the direction of the cemetery, based on the testimonies of people who were near the area.

"After 15 minutes, the suspected perpetrator went towards the cemetery, according to witnesses," said the deputy director of the Criminal Investigation. Metko also confirmed that the 20-year-old was shot with a Kalashnikov-type weapon, while a knife was found in the victim's hand. "The victim was killed with a Kalashnikov. The victim had a knife in his hand. There was a conflict between these two people," he said. According to the Police, the suspected perpetrator has long been in pursuit by police structures and the operation to locate and capture him is currently ongoing. Meanwhile, the investigation group is working to fully document the event, while security cameras in the area are being reviewed to reconstruct the movements of the two people and the dynamics of the conflict that ended with the murder of the young man.

At around 16:30, in neighborhood no. 15, on “Viktor Eftimiu” street, Korça, a conflict occurred between several people, which escalated into the use of firearms. As a result of the shooting, citizen JZ, about 20 years old, resident of neighborhood no. 14, Korça, lost his life.

As a result of the rapid investigative and operational actions carried out by the Police services at the scene, it was possible to identify the suspected perpetrator, who left the scene immediately after the crime.

Police services have been tracking him, have surrounded the area, and intensive checks are continuing to locate and capture the suspected perpetrator.

Meanwhile, the Police services have escorted to the Police Station, for further procedural actions, three citizens suspected of being involved in the conflict where the 20-year-old lost his life.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues its actions at the scene to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, its legal documentation, and the identification of all persons involved.
