The High Court has overturned the decision of the Special Appeals Court that sentenced Blendi Teta to 25 years in prison for the murder of former police officer Santiago Malko.
In June 2022, the Appeals Court of Kosovo found Teta guilty of the assassination of one of Ervis Martinaj's trusted men. Teta was accused of having observed the victim's movements and then helping the perpetrators execute him.
The incident took place in November 2019 in the area of the former Kinostudio. Santiago Malko was also the owner of several sports betting points in collaboration with Ervis Martinaj.
