The police have managed to identify the suspected perpetrator of the murder of 20-year-old Johan Zuko, an event that occurred this afternoon in neighborhood no. 14 in Korça. After identifying the perpetrator, the police structures have intensified field checks with the aim of locating and capturing him.
Police checkpoints have been set up in several areas, while officers are checking roadways and surrounding areas to prevent the suspect from leaving. As part of the investigation, the Police are collecting and seizing security cameras from businesses and homes in the area where the crime occurred, in order to reconstruct the movements of the victim and the perpetrator before and after the murder. The footage is expected to be important evidence for documenting the dynamics of the event.
According to preliminary information, the perpetrator is suspected of having followed the victim, who was not a resident of the neighborhood, and caught him inside a building where the young man had tried to hide. He is then suspected of having shot him with a firearm. After the crime, the perpetrator left the scene and is still being sought. Police forces are continuing intensive checks, while the investigation group is working to collect evidence and fully clarify the circumstances. Investigators are also working to determine the motive for the murder and whether the perpetrator and the victim had previously had conflicts or clashes.
