Details have emerged from the moments of the serious incident in which Korça police officer Enea Mekolli was killed and his colleague Edison Adri was injured.

According to data from the investigative file, officer Mekolli did not fire a single bullet from his Kalashnikov, as he was shot by the perpetrator Violand Braçellari immediately as soon as the latter saw him, while the exchange of fire took place between Braçellari and other police officers.

According to the investigative file, the operational plan was also based on the report made by citizen AK, 32 years old, who had been working as a shepherd for several days on the cattle of citizen Violand Braçellari on the Bode mountain and who, according to the report made by him, had been raped and threatened with an automatic weapon by Violand.

According to him, Violandi was staying at the cattle stables and had an automatic weapon and a hunting rifle.

For this reason, on 04.06.2026, in the morning at around 07.00, the forces of the Korça DVP, organized according to the drawn-up operation plan, approached Mount Bode, near the place where this citizen has his stables.

The buildings were surrounded, as there were several buildings there.

It is further explained that before the siege was properly completed, Violand Braçellari started shooting at the police officer.

As a result, police officer Enea Mekolli was shot dead and police officer Edison Adri was injured.

"Citizen Violand Braçellari attempted to run away in the direction below the stables, but as a result of the exchange of fire he was wounded and was captured a few meters below the stables. Near the place where this citizen was captured, a model 56 automatic weapon, caliber 7.62mm, was found, which was empty and had no cartridges. The weapon was found with the magazine installed, the bayonet in the closed position, the butt and a fragment of nylon material, which imitates the weapon's belt. In a segment of it, at a length of 10 cm, the rope presents a reddish stain similar to that of blood. The weapon has a magazine with a capacity of 30 cartridges, where on its inside there is a reddish stain similar to that of blood. The lever for changing the type of fire is in the single-shot firing position. After the magazine was removed, it was found that there are no cartridges inside it. In the arm of left, the number 5617076736 is stamped on the metal body. Also, two reddish stains like blood were found in this place, from which samples were taken for biological expertise. Likewise, the control of the place nearby made it possible to find and seize two model 56 cartridges, caliber 7.62mm, which presented the mark of the needle of the weapon that fired it and were seized as material evidence", the investigative file states.

Further, near the two brick-walled cattle stables, a white short-sleeved T-shirt was found, with numerous tears and reddish blood-like stains. Also, at the location at the distances determined in the inspection, a firearm casing with the characteristics of those described above was found. Near the second stable, 3 firearm casings were found, similar and with characteristics like those above, with the marking 539-k. In the same vicinity, 3 other firearm casings were found, with characteristics similar to those above.

An examination at the scene of the incident revealed that the body of Police Officer Enea Mekolli was found about 8 meters from the wall of the last cattle stable on the ground, and an examination at the scene revealed that he had injuries to his head, neck, ear, chest and leg.

All of these injuries are similar to those caused by a firearm. He was wearing a police uniform and a bulletproof vest, which showed damage to the chest, as well as to the shoulder strap.

Likewise, the automatic weapon he had for the operation was found resting on the victim's body, with a 30-round magazine, with 29 rounds inside, and one round was found in the automatic chamber, which indicates that this citizen did not fire the weapon at all. Subsequently, the body was transported to the Korça Hospital morgue for more detailed examination and examination. After moving the body, a reddish pool of blood with a diameter of 40 cm was found in the part corresponding to the head.

During the investigation, it was found that the side window of the first stable was open and its wire mesh was torn and hanging on the outside, which indicates that the person had come out from there. From this side of the stable, in the front corner of this side of the stable, on the back side and on the side of the second stable that is almost adjacent to it and continuing along the road to where the perpetrator was caught, several model 56, caliber 7.62mm cartridges were found, which according to the investigation almost all have the same marking numbers and are suspected to have been fired from the same weapon. During the examination of the scene in front of the stable seen from below in the square covered with various waste such as manure, straw and other debris, many Model 56, 7.62mm caliber cartridges were also found, which are concentrated more on the left side of the stable when viewed from the outside and which corresponds to the place where the police officers were positioned.

In front of this stable and almost opposite its entrance door, on the lower side is a long-barreled automatic weapon, model 56, caliber 7.62mm, with a magazine with a capacity of 30 rounds, with 23 rounds inside and another round found in the chamber of the weapon, indicating that a shot was fired from this weapon, which was seized as material evidence and is believed to belong to the injured police officer Edison Adri. An irregularly shaped, copper-colored shell casing was also found in this location, which was seized as material evidence. A few meters further on the left side of the stable when viewed from the outside, another bulletproof vest was found on the ground, which appeared undamaged, but massively soiled with a reddish substance similar to blood, as well as a police hand-held radio, also soiled with blood, which belong to the injured police officer Edison Adri. These items were also seized as material evidence.

Following the investigation in this area, model 56 cartridge cases, caliber 7.62mm, found on the ground were found and seized, all of which were seized as material evidence.

In the back left side of the first stable and in front of the left side wall of the second stable, 4 cartridges, bronze metallic color, caliber 9 mm, with the inscription GECP 9mm LUGGER on the end, were found and seized as material evidence, which were seized as material evidence in connection with the incident.

At the moment of inspection, on the left side when looking from below, a total of 5 long-barreled firearms, as well as 5 bulletproof vests stained with blood and mud, were found on the ground, which are the weapons of the police officers who participated in this operation, and all of these weapons and vests have been seized to undergo ballistics expertise in relation to the incident.
