Bujar Pllana refused to play for Lekia Gdansk in Poland during the first three weeks of the second division championship. The club has now agreed to terminate the cooperation, despite Pllana having two years left on his contract.
The Albanian national team defender made the drastic decision after being relegated, while the club recently gave the green light. Coach Vladislav Lupashko himself showed behind the scenes two weeks ago.
The Lekia Gdansk coach said that Pllana refuses to play. He thought that he had found a new team, or that he had not been paid and refused to play under these conditions.
Furthermore, he added that the club will punish him for his behavior. Pllana is currently in good physical condition.
"Wp Sportowe Fakty" reported two days ago the other words of the coach, who added that Pllana has offers. And also suggested the club to pave the way for his departure. Yesterday, journalist Tomasz Galinski was there while stating that the termination of the contract was by agreement, while Pllana is now a free player.
