Emission "At the Target" IN News24 has shed light on the murder of businessman Mondi Mëhalla, who was executed inside his "Range Rover" car in Elbasan, as he had just left his mother's apartment.
The documentary reveals key details of the investigation, from his clashes with his former business partner to the clues that led to the unraveling of the motives for the crime.
The show also brings new information on how the "Audi" vehicle used by the perpetrators of this serious incident was identified.
Excerpts from the documentary:
But how did the investigative group reach the people suspected of being the organizers and executors of businessman Mondi Mëhalla, where four arrests have been made so far?
Specifically, Ghino Ago, 32 years old, a former partner with the victim in one of his businesses, is charged with 'premeditated murder in collaboration' and 'unlicensed possession of a weapon'.
Kujtim Pisha, 52 years old, guard at the 'Xhaxhi Oil' gas station where the murder took place, on charges of 'failing to report a crime'. Marsel Arani, 32 years old, and Armando Kola, 35 years old.
Respectively, the people who are thought to have collaborated with each other to carry out the plan to execute Mondi Mahallen on the evening of November 30, 2025. Meanwhile, 2 other people have been declared wanted, who are thought to be the executioner and his assistant who drove him away in the black 'Audi' car.
The car, as we said, was found burned just 15 kilometers from the site of the assassination in the village of Miraka, on the national road, Elbasan-Librazhd.
According to the investigative file provided by the show 'Në Shënjestër', the entire unraveling of the dynamics that also reveals the way in which businessman Mondi Mëhalla was planned and executed, begins with the unraveling of security camera footage on the Lezhë-Thumanë and Thumanë-Kashar axes, where the black 'Audi' A4 vehicle, used in the crime of murdering the 43-year-old, is also seen moving. This vehicle is observed to move frequently on this road axis between November 23 and 29, that is, until one day before Mondi Mëhalla's execution.
The car that during these days has been driven by citizen Rolando Gjoni, 27 years old, residing in the city of Lezha.
Investigation File
From the examination of the video footage of the movement of the vehicle with which the murder of citizen Mondi Mëhalla was committed, an 'Audi' A4, black in color, with license plates AB 977 GE, it appears that this car often moves on the Lezhë-Thumanë and Kashar-Thumanë axes and vice versa. Specifically, this car was caught by radars on these road axes from November 23 to 29, 2025. The driver of this vehicle is suspected to have been citizen Rolando Gjoni, a resident of Lezha.
It would be Rolando Gjoni who would tell the investigative group the true owner of the 'Audi' A4 vehicle, in which he was driving.
But surprisingly, just one day after he was not seen driving this vehicle, on November 30, 2025, this very car had participated in the execution of Mondi Mëhalla in Elbasan.
The 26-year-old also revealed the person to whom he had given this car just the day before the crime. Or rather, he had returned it to him, after using it for some time.
This person, according to Rolando Gjoni, was Armando Kola.
One of the detainees as an accomplice in the crime of murdering Mondi Mahalla
Roland Gjoni, who was also seen with this car on the security cameras of a gas station in a place called 'Tolli' in Lezha.
After the execution of Mondi Mëhalla, he was escorted and questioned by the Local Police Directorate in Elbasan.
Investigation File
During the police escort, Rolando Gjoni, questioned in the capacity of the person who has knowledge of the murder of citizen Mondi Mëhalla, said that the 'Audi' A4 vehicle was given to him by an acquaintance of his. According to him, this person is Armando Paulin Kola. And that Armando had given him this car to keep for some time. But on November 29, 2025, Rolando Gjoni says that Armando called him and told him that a person would come to take the 'Audi' A4 car, with license plate AB 977 GE, since it is impossible for him to change its ownership.
Rolando Gjoni's testimony given before the investigative group about his conversations with Armando Kola was also proven by footage from a garage in Tirana.
After Armando Kola had informed him that a person would come to collect the 'Audi' A4 vehicle, Rolando Gjoni is said to have traveled to the capital with this vehicle with the intention of delivering it to the person he says Armando had spoken to.
Which happened on November 29, 2025. Just one day before Mondi Mahalla was executed.
Investigation File
The investigative actions have resulted in the discovery of a location called the 'Greek Embassy Block', near the parking lot of a building, Rolando Gjoni met with three citizens who were in a 'BMW' X1 vehicle, with license plate AB 686 VG. These citizens took the 'Audi' A4, black in color, with license plate AB 977 GE from citizen Rolando Gjoni and left. Further verifications show that the 'BMW' X1 vehicle, with license plate AB 686 VG, is owned by citizen Sh.T., from the village of Rajcë, in Prrenjas.
It would be precisely this moment, documented with film footage, that would also reveal the names of the people who were the last to have contact with the 'Audi' A4 vehicle used in the murder of Mondi Mëhalla. People where one of them turned out to be a close acquaintance of the victim. Or more specifically, he was a partner with him, but a breakdown in business deals had also led to a physical clash between them, in the last days before the crime occurred.
Investigation File
From the management of the footage recorded by the security cameras located in the parking lot of the building where the car was delivered in Tirana, the three people who went to collect the 'Audi' A4 vehicle, with license plates AB 977 GE, from citizen Rolando Gjoni, have been identified as citizens Nevzat Spaho, Marselo Arani and Oklid Ndino EL Ouejdi.
Who were also recognized by citizen Rolando Gjoni, during the presentation of their photographs, in front of him, in the testimony given to the police.
