The Bektashi World Patriarchate has organized the jubilee conference "Traditions, faith, culture and vision in the future", an event that coincides with three historical anniversaries: the 35th anniversary of the reopening after the fall of the communist regime, the 11th anniversary of the inauguration of the main complex and the 15th anniversary of the leadership of the Patriarchate by the World Patriarch, Baba Mondi.

The event brought together the leaders of the main religious communities in the country, including the President of the Albanian Council of Churches, Bujar Spahiu, Archbishop Gjergj Meta from the Catholic Church, as well as representatives of the Orthodox Church, who emphasized harmony and exemplary interfaith coexistence.

The jubilee background was added by the special presence of Paolo Zampolli, the US government's special representative for global partnerships and special ambassador to President Donald Trump. During his communication with the media on this day, which also coincided with the canonization of Mother Teresa, Zampolli conveyed Washington's positions on the region.

He underlined that President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio strongly believe in interfaith dialogue and support for all houses of faith. The American official confirmed that Albania remains an important strategic ally, while announcing that the new US ambassador, appointed to serve under the vision of the “America First” administration, is expected to arrive in Tirana soon.

Asked by journalists about the project for the creation of a Sovereign State of the Bektashi Order, an initiative previously presented by Prime Minister Edi Rama — the American envoy emphasized that the final word is with the citizens themselves. Zampolli said that the international community will respect the decision-making of the Albanian people themselves. “I heard what the prime minister said. Your people decide or will decide and I believe that the international community will respect the decision of the people of Albania. If the people want this, it is a good thing, but the people must speak,” declared Zampolli, who also held a series of informal meetings with officials and representatives of institutions in the country.
