The Democratic Party of Kosovo has addressed the Constitutional Court again today.
MP Përparim Gruda and Arian Tahiri have submitted a request to the Constitutional Court to contest the decision to elect the new Government.
The PDK has stated that the manner in which the Assembly was constituted and the procedures followed afterwards have constitutional problems, and has therefore requested that the Constitutional Court assess the legality of the decision to elect the Government.
PDK MP Arian Tahiri said that the constitution of the Assembly has dilemmas and has been assessed as unconstitutional, therefore, according to him, measures should be taken and legality should be restored by the Constitutional Court.
He added that every decision derived from this Assembly, which according to him is unconstitutional, will be filed with the Constitutional Court.
According to him, it is important that the country returns to constitutional tracks.
MP Përparim Gruda said that today they submitted a request to contest the decision to form the Government.
"We have considered that the Assembly was constituted in violation of the Constitution of Kosovo. An Assembly that was constituted in an unconstitutional manner cannot produce constitutional institutions. We have previously called for further decisions not to be made before every issue is clarified," he said.
He said that the arguments are professional.
Regarding Bekim Sejdiu's withdrawal from the presidential candidacy, he said that they were convinced from the beginning that Kurti did not intend to elect him president, but according to him, only to create new political momentum for the next political game.
We recall that a day earlier, PDK addressed the Constitutional Court regarding the constitution of the 11th legislature, which voted for the Kurti 4 government, after electing the speaker and 4 deputy speakers of the Assembly.
According to the largest opposition party, Albin Kurti and his party intentionally violated constitutional deadlines. /KP/
