A citizen from the diaspora has joined the protest against the government, where during a statement on the microphone of News24 has issued strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding the situation of the army and the decision-making of those in power.
According to the citizen, the prime minister's statements do not correspond to the country's real needs, while he stressed that national defense has been neglected:
"I come from the diaspora to protest. The Prime Minister says we make cars, but we don't need them when we don't have an army. We are very weak with the army!"
He further articulated serious accusations regarding the reason why the army has been weakened:
"If this country had generals, those in power today would have been arrested for national treason, which is why the army has also been abolished."
The citizen highlighted that while the people are in the square to protest, the highest state officials are continuing with agreements that harm the country:
"While we are in the square, those in power, from Edi Rama onward, are signing contracts and selling Albania more."
