The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during his weekly conversation with citizens on social networks, reacted to the Prime Minister's statements about the protests against the project in Zvërnec.
"I strongly condemn the comparison that Rama made to the protesters with Hitler's phalanx. This is an extremely serious act. Yesterday, in his rants, he even tried to compare Mithat Frashëri to Hitler, for the sole reason that the protesters used a quote by Mithat Frashëri," Berisha said.
According to the DP leader, the prime minister's statements about foreign influences after the protests reflect an old political approach.
"The world's largest media outlets say that we are in a hybrid war. The statements about Greece or other countries doing everything against our tourism are the inherited psychology of Enver Hoxha about external and internal enemies," Berisha declared.
He accused the prime minister of trying to delegitimize citizen protests by linking them to external factors, while describing the reactions against the project in Zvërnec as an expression of citizen dissatisfaction.
