A professor and representative of the University Employees Union has expressed his support for the 47th civic protest, which also includes students.

He said that the union has come out in support of the protest and called on students to join it, describing it as a peaceful movement for a "European Albania". According to the professor, the five demands raised by the protesters are important for the country and should be taken into consideration by the government. Speaking about education and health, he said that branches such as medicine and engineering should remain the responsibility of the state and not be transferred to private hands.

He also criticized the situation at some private universities, demanding stronger controls from the institutions.

"I want to convey the support of the professors and the Union of University Employees, which, in a special statement, gave support to the civic protest in which students participate.

I call on all students to come and support the protest for a European Albania. This protest is civic, peaceful and the 5 demands are the most important for our country, so the government must fulfill them.

Transparency is needed for less corruption. Medicine and engineering cannot be in private hands, they must be the responsibility of the state.

When we talk about the quality of universities, one university in question has received the right to award doctorates before the public university, only its director is from the party. A party owner, with two private universities.

"So the government should come to their senses. The universities should control the kiosks and transfer the students to the public," he asserted.
