Expert Enea Janko presented today his latest study on the Albanian population for the period 2025–2030. Janko invited to the show 'News24 Weekend' by journalist Megi Latifi, referring to data, said that the resident population in Albania will continue to decline, while the emigration population will grow and will ultimately exceed the population within the country.

An analysis that shows the consequences of this phenomenon on public policies, the labor market and the strategies of Albanian manufacturing companies, becoming an indispensable guide for decision-makers and businesses that want to face the challenges of the future.

"I studied the population within the country from 2011 to 2023 and then the population on January 1, 2024, 2025, according to INSTAT data. For the population, I referred to official sources, immigrant visas in the US or in other countries where Albanians live. It is a complete study. I have been careful to be accurate, without going to extremes. 0-14 has decreased a percentage in terms of emigration. January 2026 is the first year that the population of Albania, we refer to the civil status register, not the diaspora, which is abroad, has exceeded that within the country," he said.
