The Vetëvendosje Movement has reached 51 seats in the Kosovo Assembly, after the counting of about 20 percent of the postal votes. In this count alone, it received more than 69 percent.

This is the third seat added to Vetëvendosje from the counting of votes from the diaspora so far. In the preliminary vote, within polling stations in Kosovo, it secured 48 seats.

While in the past two seats it reduced the mandates of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (23) and the Democratic League (19), now the Alliance has lost one seat, falling to 7 from the 8 it had in the previous projection.

And if the current trend in the remaining votes continues, VV could gain at least one more seat in the Assembly.

In the overall results, VV has 44.6 percent. PDK is second with 20.5, LDK third with 17.26, and AAK just under 7 percent.

The Central Election Commission has withdrawn about 85 envelopes containing votes from the diaspora. So far, data from about 11 votes has been processed.

61 votes are sufficient to form the Government, but also to elect the Speaker of Parliament. Last time, the VV formed the Government alone in cooperation with partners from among the minorities.

And for the president, the participation of at least 80 deputies is required. This issue led the country to the June 7 elections.
