The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has commented on the verification carried out by the General Prosecutor's Office regarding the conviction of Judge Irena Gjoka for visa forgery in Greece, which resulted in it being authentic and that she had concealed it.

Berisha underlined that what he himself had denounced in March 2024 was verified.

"Irena Gjoka has a criminal conviction in Greece, as a forger, as well as two deportations from the neighboring country and the Schengen area. She is a certified forger, by court decision, an offense for which she was sentenced to prison as a forger, later converted into a fine. This criminal conviction has become final, and she has also been deported twice from the Greek state on 24.12.2002 and three months later.

He was fully aware of these expulsions and authorized the lawyers to oppose them. The lawyers also opposed the measures in the Administrative Court. The habit of falsification comes with the soul. Gjoka continued her falsifications as a judge in the Serious Crimes Court and then in the GJKKO. She did not report her convictions to the KLGJ as required by the '96 law on the status of judges and prosecutors. ", said Berisha.
