Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted with irony to criticism from the opposition, which accused him of silence after the scandalous statement of Serbian Minister Snezhana Paunovic, who said that if she had the chance, she would have "ethnically cleansed Kosovo in 1998."

Through a post on social media, Rama clarified that Albania has maintained an official position through the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, as any serious state does, rejecting requests for personal reactions.

"Official Albania has spoken its mind with the voice of the Foreign Minister," Rama writes, adding that the country cannot become part of a "hysterical chorus" every time "a scoundrel in Belgrade comes out and speaks nonsense."

The idea that every person with a public voice, every institution and authority, should react to every idiocy said in Serbian, even by characters who, before saying the idiocy, only their family knew they existed, is an idea that shows how little respect those who raise their voices and demand an account of why this or that person does not react have for themselves and their country!

We have reacted through the foreign minister, as a self-respecting state does, and whoever asks us to become a hysterical chorus every time a scoundrel appears in Belgrade and speaks nonsense, has confused the address.

Just look at the random reactionaries from Tirana, how they find a dead horse to take pictures of warriors on the front line, and you immediately understand why their category deserves only the next pity, while if you want to hold your hips with your hand, you should also find time to read them 🤣
