The fire situation in Lura has deteriorated significantly. For several days, numerous forces have been fighting the flames, while the fire continues to spread in several directions and is approaching homes.
A resident around 70 years old says he does not remember this area being affected by fires before, but the current situation is worrying.
High temperatures and thick smoke have invaded the village, causing breathing difficulties for residents. Numerous firefighting forces, municipal employees, employees of protected areas, the Armed Forces and residents of the area continue to be engaged on the ground, while the intervention from the air is also being carried out by plane.
The flames are also approaching the Fushë-Lura Church, increasing concern for homes and buildings near the area affected by the fire.
Despite intensive ground and air intervention, difficult terrain and weather conditions are making it difficult to bring the flames under control. All structures engaged in the field continue the battle to isolate and extinguish the fire.
