Around 20 residents of villages in the Patos-Marinza oilfield area have holed up in the offices of the Bankers Petroleum company, where they have decided to stay all night.
Residents are seeking a final solution to the land lease problem, demanding that the company make a decision on the situation.
They have stated that they will remain at Bankers' premises until the company makes a decision to meet with a representative, who is expected to offer them a final solution to their requests regarding land leases.
Protesters continue to remain at the company's offices, while awaiting a response from Bankers.
