The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, through a communication on the show "Log." on News24, commented on the GJKKO decision to suspend Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku from office, considering it an expected and necessary action by SPAK.

Shehaj said that within his party, possibilities to continue with protests are being discussed, including organizing a new protest in the coming days, although no official decision has yet been made.

According to him, the declaration of Balluk as a defendant by SPAK made her removal from office, either through resignation or dismissal, inevitable. He emphasized that the fact that this did not happen by the government forced SPAK to intervene through the suspension measure.

"As we speak, Belinda Balluku is no longer deputy prime minister. She cannot cross the border and cannot remain in office while she is a defendant, because there is a risk of repeating the criminal offense or influencing the investigations," Shehaj declared.

He added that, in his opinion, SPAK's decision was fully justified.

Shehaj also commented on Prime Minister Rama's stance, saying that he seems "as if he is still holding" Balluku in a political position, and that there are signals for an appeal of the decision, which Shehaj considers invalid.

"I don't believe there is the slightest chance that she will remain in government. The next logical step would be to request Balluk's arrest, because she risks interfering in the investigations," he said.
